ACTIVE PROJECTS
'Climate-driven cycles of aggradation and incision in the Central Andes’
Objective: Test for orbitally-driven climate forcing in the Toro Basin fan record, southern Central Andes, NW Argentina.
‘Rates and spatial distribution of rockwall slope erosion in the NW Himalaya’
Objective: Quantify rates and evaluate possible controls of rockwall slope erosion and determine to what extent periglacial erosion at the valley head contributes to the denudation budgets of alpine catchments.
'Paraglacial landscape change in the NW Himalaya’
Objective: Build and improve upon local paraglacial fan chronologies and regional records of aggradation and incision. Evaluate possible climatic controls on fan development and surface stabilization.
‘Timing and forcing of Quaternary glaciation in the Himalayan-Tibetan orogen’
Objective: Build and improve upon local and regional glacial chronostratigraphies for the northwestern end of the orogen, with the view to identifying the possible controls upon the extent, style and timing of Quaternary glaciation.
